Urban planning proposal with Arup Maritime Consultants

Proposal for the relocation of the passenger port to a new western dock, thereby removing the port trunk road along the seafront to in order to reconnect the town centre and beach. The proposal includes a new boardwalk running between an extended retail park at the old hover dock and a redeveloped residential eastern dock, as well as new sand beach, marina and cruise ship terminal.

As part of the project, a viewing installation was sited by the side of the port trunk road projecting a seaside image of the proposal onto the wall of lorries and the Gateway block beyond.

The scheme has been endorsed by Kent Architecture Centre and a technical report was presented to the Dover Harbour Board Director of Port Development .
